• Today is day 2 of the SSS blog hop celebrating the Beautiful Moments release. I have a card to share with you that uses the darling Special Friend stamp and die bundle as shown here:

Here is my card using this set:

I used the Basic Shapes Nested Eggs Dies to make my card base. I folded a piece of white cardstock and then die cut the egg shape by attaching the side of the egg just a little bit over the edge of the cardstock fold. That way that portion doesn’t get cut and you have a card! I applied Seafoam PSInk to the top and Sprout PSInk to the bottom. I used Tim Holtz foam applicators to get a soft even application of ink.

I stamped the images in the Special Friend stamp set with black ink and colored them all in with Copic Markers. I also stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with black ink and die-cut all the images out with the matching dies. I arranged them on the front of my egg shaped card adding the sentiment to the top. I used some of the new Peach Bellini Embellishment Mix around the scene.

I have also made and blogged two other cards using the Beautiful Moments release. Here are the cards and links to the blog posts.

This card uses the Crocus Field embossing folder, the Ribbon Loop Frames, and the CZ Easter Grid stamp and die bundle for the sentiment. You can see the blog post that has some tips for coloring embossing folders HERE.

I made this slimline card using the new Bunny Bonanza stamp and die bundle and the Easter EZ Strips for the sentiment. You can see the blog post with directions for this card HERE.

Products used on cards shown on this blog post:

  • My card with the brand new SSS Beautiful Moments release uses the Crocus Field Embossing Folder. I also used the new Ribbon Loop Frame Dies. Here is an image of the embossing folder:

I always LOVE coloring floral embossing folders, so this is the first item I used in the new release! Here is my card:

I embossed the Crocus Fields embossing folder using a thick white cardstock. I always color embossing folders with Copics. A few tips in doing this:

    • Copics tend to bleed out a little from where you color. I color on the top edge of the embossed image and they will bleed down to the edge.
    • By adding a background color like I did here with the green, you are able to cover any mistakes. I try to use various shades of green so it looks like more leaves in the background that are blurry.
    • To color the center of the flowers (floras? no idea!) I used a white gel pen over them first and then colored over that with a yellow Copic. Otherwise they would have been lost in my purple coloring!
    • I sometimes go in with a white prismacolor pencil (as they are the most waxy) and add some white in places to add more dimension. I also go in with a dark colored pencil to add some shading and lines so the petals look more realistic.

I die-cut the largest frame in the Ribbon Loop Frame Dies from white cardstock and glued that on top of the embossed image. I stamped a sentiment using the new CZ Easter Grid stamp set and die cut it out with the matching dies. I used Crocus PSInk funny enough! I attached that to the center of the card. I added some of the lilac sequins from the Easter Embellishment Mix in the release.

I hope you enjoyed these spring flowers on a cold winter day! Unless you live in CA where it is so hot today we may have to turn on the AC. Heat wave but I’m NOT complaining just for the record! You can see the entire Beautiful Moments release in the SSS store here. Come back tomorrow, Saturday for day 2 of the 2 day blog hop! Suzy

  • Today is the SSS Beautiful Moments release yippee! It’s my favorite season and my favorite holiday is approaching. I love the flowers, the colors, the chocolate, the focus on Christ, and again the colors of this season! Today I have a slimline card to share with you using the new Bunny Bonanza stamp and die bundle as shown here:

    Here is my card:

I cut a piece of white cardstock to be 3.5″ x 8.5″. I applied Carnation Ink to the top and Sprout Ink to the bottom with a foam applicator. I did not do a good job on my ink blending on this one – oh my! Didn’t realize until I edited the photo!

I stamped the images in the Bunny Bonanza stamp set with black ink and colored them in with Copics. I stamped a few of the small two egg stamp. I fussy cut them all out as I didn’t have the matching dies. I arranged them in a scene on the slimline background. I used the new Easter EZ Sentiment Strips with the EZ Strips Rounded Rectangle Dies and attached them to the top. I added some of the new Easter Embellishment Mix.

I’ll be back each night this week with a card using the new release. You can see the entire Beautiful Moments release here. Of all the Easter sets in the release this Bunny Bonanza stamp and die bundle is my favorite. There is a two day blog hop coming up on Friday and Saturday am! Suzy

  • I made another Easter card using products from the past from Simon Says Stamp Spring releases. I used the Celebration Plate as shown here:

    Here is my card:

I first die-cut the Spring-time Celebration Plate using white cardstock. I then die-cut it again using a metal plate underneath the plates I use for my die-cut machine so the images would all pop out easily. For the one that I didn’t use a metal plate, all of the small images in it stayed intact. I immediately attached a piece of foam board behind it with lots of adhesive so none of the images would pop out. I colored all the images with Copics.

Next, I glued all of the images I colored over the full plate that is attached to a foam sheet. I used Rainbow Splash small gem stickers over some of the little spots. I stamped a greeting using the Blessings at Easter stamp set with Carnation PSInk. I attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it.

I love this Spring-time Celebration Plate so much – it was so fun to color! I hope you like it too! Thanks for visiting! Suzy

  • Today I have another Easter card to share with you using a stamp set that was released in 2021!!! I held on to it as I love this one so much – it reminds me of Doodlebug stamps which I love. It is called You Make Me Hoppy and there is a set of matching dies, but it isn’t sold as a bundle. Here is an image of the stamp set:

    Here is my card:

I stamped the images in the You Make Me Hoppy stamp set with black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I used a silver Uniball for parts of the bike. I didn’t have the matching dies so I fussy cut them all out.

I kept this image a little darker so you could see the dots on the background. I used the Rainbow Splash Swiss Dots embossing folder that I use all the time! I love the subtle design it adds to plain white areas. I die-cut a Chunky Scalloped Die and then applied Marine PSInk to the top and Limelicious and Sprout Ink to the bottom. It looks dark because I had originally applied Marine ink to the entire thing and added the green over the blue. I attached this to the background and then added all my stamped images. I used foam tape behind the ones in the front.

Could this You Make Me Hoppy stamp set be any cuter? After 4 years it is still one of my favorite all time Easter sets by SSS! Thanks for visiting today and I hope I am motivating you all to pull out some of your older sets and put them back to work! Suzy

  • The stamp set I used for my card today was from last year’s Easter season and is called Eggstra Special. This has been one of my favorite sets ever by Simon Says Stamp. Here is an image of the bundle:

These little chicks just kill me with their cuteness! Here is my card:

I stamped several of the chicks in the Eggstra Special stamp set with black ink and colors them in with Copic Markers. I die-cut them out with the matching dies. I stamped the large sentiment in the set with Carnation PSInk (stamped twice so it was darker) and die-cut it out as well.

I painted a piece of watercolor paper with Cherry Bomb Nuvo Shimmer Powder (any bright pink paper would work!) and attached it to the top of a white cardstock card base. I die-cut four square dies out of a piece of white A2 sized cardstock and then ran the cardstock through the die-cut machine using the Rainbow Splash Swiss Dot embossing folder (I use this one all the time!). I attached some acetate behind this piece. I used foam tape behind the acetate to build it up and then filled the four squares with Gina K Disco sequins. I attached the card base over it. I glued the four chicks over each of the four openings. I also attached the sentiment to the bottom of the card. Last I added some Starbright Embellishment Mix sequins around the sentiment.

I love this little shaker card made with the Eggstra Special stamp and die set! It is such a cute set I’ve already made 3 cards with and will probably make a lot more! Click on my link to see all the cards I’ve made with it under the product image in the SSS store! Thanks so much for visiting! Suzy

  • I have another Easter card to share with you using a throwback set called Hoppy Easter. Here is an image of the bundle:

    Here is my card:

I stamped the bunny sitting on eggs using the Hoppy Easter stamp set and black ink. I colored it in with Copics and die-cut it out.

I made the background using the Modern Teardrop Dies. I painted the colored piece underneath the teardrop with watercolors. I stamped a sentiment on the bottom of the white piece. I attached it over the watercolored piece and then used light yellow Nuvo Jewel drops over it so it had some interest/texture. I then attached the stamped image inside the opening.

This was a really simple card. I couldn’t handle the white part as it was too plain. Ideally I should have run it through a swiss dot embossing folder, but I tried this method instead. It looks better in person. I hope you enjoyed this throwback to the Hoppy Easter stamp and die bundle! Suzy

  • This week I’m going to be making Easter cards with products from the past. They are all still available at SSS but were released over the past year or two or maybe even three! Easter is my favorite holiday and season as I love the colors, the images, the purpose of the holiday, and the weather! Spring is the best. Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle I am using called Bunny Blessings.

I love this illustrator so much and haven’t seen anything done by them in a while. I’m glad I have all of the past sets! Here is my card:

I applied Carnation Ink to the edges of a white card base with a foam applicator. Now that I see it photographed, it looks really splotchy. Ink blending is not my strong point! I die-cut an Eyelet Layer Frame Die from white cardstock and attached it to the pink card base.

I stamped this cute little image from the Bunny Blessings stamp set with Versavine Ink. I colored it in with Copic Markers. I die-cut it out with the matching dies. I glued it to the bottom of the eyelet frame. I die-cut the letters out of the Bouncy Happy Easter Dies (I love this font so much!) from turquoise cardstock. I glued that to the top of the eyelet frame.

I’ll be back every day this week with an Easter card using a stamp set from the past. I love so many of them so it is hard to choose which ones to use! I’m also looking forward to showing you Easter cards made with the newest release that is coming soon!!! Thanks for visiting! Suzy

  • Today is the release of the SSS March 2026 Card Kit called Watercolor Bouquet! It is a perfect start to making your Spring cards (my fav season of all!). Here is an image of the full kit:

The kit includes a few exclusive SSS products and has a lot of A La Carte add on products as well.

Here is a list with links to items which are in the kit but also sold separately (linked to SSS store):

Here are the A La Carte add-on products available for purchase (with links to SSS store):

    Here are my cards:

For the background of my card, I used an embossing folder from my stash called the Dainty Dotted Daisy EF. I rubbed Rose and Rhubarb inks (in the 6 cube pack in the kit) over one of the small dollies in the kit. I attached that over the embossing folder. I colored all of my dollies with the different ink colors by lightly applying them with a foam applicator – I just didn’t use the others on any of my cards here. They looked so pretty though!

I stamped a flower in the Watercolor Bouquet stamp set with Rhubarb Ink and then applied some of the Zest Ink with a foam applicator to the center of the stamp and stamped it again (turning it orange). I applied the Field Ink to the smallest leaf and stem with a foam applicator so it was soft and then applied some more to the edges. By applying the ink with a foam applicator to the stamp you can apply less ink and do layers easier. I attached the flower and stem with leafs to the center of the flower. I die-cut one of the EZ Strips sentiments in the kit using the EZ Strips Rounded Rectangle Dies (add-on to the kit). I applied Rhubarb and Zest Ink to it – again, the foam applicator keeps the ink application soft. I attached that to the bottom of the stem. I added a Rainbow Splash Gem Sticker to the center of the flower.

I stamped most of the images in the Watercolor Bouquet stamp set with the 6 ink cubes in the kit over a piece of white cardstock. I added Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers to the center of each flower.

I die-cut another one of the EZ Strip sentiments in the kit with the add-on EZ Strips Rounded Rectangle Dies. I applied Rose Ink to it with a foam applicator. I attached it to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it.

I applied some of the inks (Rose, Zest, and Rhubarb) lightly to the front of a white card base with a foam applicator. I then stamped a bunch of the flowers and leaves in the stamp set with the inks in the kit. Again, I would stamp it once with an ink color and then add some shading by applying a different ink color with a foam applicator directly to the stamp. You can do this several times until you get the amount of color you want on it.

I die-cut all of the flowers and leaves out and attached them to the center of the card in a bouquet format. I used Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers in the center of the flowers. I stamped a sentiment with the Basic Brushstroke Greetings 4×6 stamp set (add-on item) by applying Zest and Rhubarb ink to different areas of the stamp. I die-cut them out with the matching dies and attached the sentiment to the bottom of the card.

I hope you enjoyed all of these cards I made using the Watercolor Bouquet March 2026 Card Kit. Thanks so much for stopping by! Suzy

  • The card I’m sharing today uses the Robo Buddies stamp and die bundle from the SSS Heart to Heart Release. Here is an image:

THIS SET IS ON SALE FOR $9.99 RIGHT NOW! I just saw they have a sale at SSS for quite a few of the products in the Heart to Heart release. I showed a card using the Sassy Sally stamp and die set yesterday and it is also on sale for $9.99. That’s am amazing price for a stamp and die bundle! Here is my card:

I stamped all of the astronauts in the Robo Buddies stamp set with black ink. I colored them in with Copic Markers. I applied Tonic Crystal Glaze (or use Glossy Accents) to the faces so they would have a raised shiny look. I die-cut them out with the matching dies. I was only able to use 5 of the 6 on my card.

For the background, I used the Dotty Whirlpool Embossing Folder. I rubbed Galaxy and Twilight PSI (trio 18) over it. The dots were darker than the background so it looked good. But I decided I wanted the dots white, so I painstakingly used a white gel pen over all of them. Not a necessary step! I then added all my astronauts with foam tape behind them. I stamped a sentiment from the set and attached that as well. I added some silver star sequins around the background.

Next I set it by the window to dry the masks and went to bed. It was raining. All night. Hard. I left the window open and never realized it had started raining. I woke up in the morning to water all over everything near the window. My card looked fine, but the masks were a bit dirty. Then I looked at the background and realized it had the most amazing splotchiness that I had not added on my own! I would highly recommend splattering water over a background like this. I guess I didn’t think about it as I didn’t know PSInks were this reactive to water! Now I know!!!

Love this cute Robo Buddies stamp and die bundle and for only $9.99 right now – that is a steal! Thanks for visiting today! suzy
