I made a card today that uses a few different dies from several releases. I used the Flourish Bird and Bouncy Happy Birthday Dies from DieCember and the Fancy Feathers Die from a release before that (not sure which one!). Here is an image of the Flourish Bird Die:

It’s so pretty that I based my entire card on using it! Here it is:

I die-cut the Flourish Bird first and colored it with Acrylic Paint Markers (several brands on the market – I used Guangna Acrylic Markers from Amazon). I die-cut the Bouncy Happy Birthday Die from white cardstock and colored the letters with acrylic markers as well. I die-cut the larger Fancy Feathers die and also colored it with acrylic markers. Copic markers would work just as well but having recently purchased these to paint shells and rocks, I wanted to use them!

I die-cut the Scalloped Arches Frame Die (second largest size) from the In My Heart release. I love these dies and have used them for several cards already! I colored that with the same pink markers. I also die-cut it with a piece of light blue patterned paper for the inside of the scallops. I attached them both to a white card base and flicked some black paint over the background. This made me so nervous but it actually turned out ok! I then attached the other three dies over the background with foam tape behind the head of the bird and the happy birthday. I used a few sparkling clear sequins around it.
I really like this card but it didn’t photograph that good. It looks kind of washed out here. The Flourish Bird Die is so pretty and I”m glad I finally got a chance to use it! Have a great week friends! Suzy
