The summer card I made today uses two sets of dies from the SSS Shine On release called the Silly Seagull Dies and the Weathered Pilings Dies. Here is an image of the Silly Seagulls Dies:

Here is my card:

For the background, I die-cut a Elongated Hexagon Die from white cardstock and used this piece as the card front horizontally. I put a piece of patterned paper from the Pink and Main Watercolor Spring paper pack (love this paper so much – so many great rainbow designs!) to put behind it. Note: This could have been a cute shaker card with this background format.

I die-cut the Silly Seagull Dies and the Weathered Pilings Dies from white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I glued all of the pieces together and attached them to the background with foam tape behind just the bird heads. I stamped two shells and a sentiment with black ink using the Bring On the Sun stamp and die set. I attached those to the bottom of the scene.
This card was fairly easy and just involved some die-cutting and coloring of these cute Silly Seagulls and Weathered Pilings. Making my way through the Shine On release and will be back tomorrow with another card to share (one more summer card for you!). It’s about 90 degrees here today which is out of the ordinary for the coast in Southern CA – even the beach was too hot to walk on today! Suzy
