Yesterday (July 31st) a special online class was taught by Heidi (SSS) and Gina (Gina K. Designs) called the Christmas Starflakes in July. There is a kit that works with the class that is now sold out but the components of the kit are still available. My favorite part of the kit is the is the Christmas Star Flakes stamp, die, and stencil set as shown here:
I used the Christmas Starflakes stamp set, the matching dies, and the matching stencils shown above as well as the 4 inks in the kit, the silver paste in the kit, and the Tessellating Snowflakes embossing folder. Here is my card:
I stamped all of the snowflakes in the Christmas Starflakes stamp set with the ink cubes in the kit. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set with the ink and stamped it again with Tropic ink on the edges. I die-cut all of these images out with the matching dies. I used the stencils to add color with the same color ink as I stamped each snowflake in. I then used the silver sparkle paste over each snowflake to add glitter and texture. I glued a Prism Dazzling Gem in the center of each snowflake.
I embossed the Tessellating Snowflakes embossing folder using white cardstock. I glued the snowflakes over the background as well as the sentiment. I cut off any excess hanging over the edge of the card.
This kit is soooo pretty! I love the ink colors they picked to go with it. I think this is one of my favorite cards I’ve ever made! The Christmas Starflakes stamp, die, and stencil bundle is a must have for the holiday season! Thanks for visiting today! Suzy
