Today is the first day of a 2 day blog hop celebrating the SSS And Everything Nice release! I will be sharing a card using the new Beautiful Poinsettia Frame Embossing Folder as shown here (click on to go to it in the SSS store):

As most of you probably know, I love coloring. And I especially love coloring embossing folders for some reason. I think because a) I love how Copic markers slide over the images and bleed down the sides and b) I love the challenge! Here is my card:

I embossed the Beautiful Poinsettia Frame Embossing Folder using white cardstock. I then colored in all of the flowers with Copic Markers leaning towards pink flowers instead of red. I used a gold Uniball in the center of each one over the small dots. I then cut the inside of this piece out as I planned on mounting it on a colored paper.

I attached it to a white card base. Since I cut it out, I could have made it into a shaker card or used it over a patterned embossing folder or even patterned paper. I couldn’t decide so I just used white cardstock! I die-cut the new Bouncy Merry Christmas Die (so love this font) from white cardstock and Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock and glued the colored letters over the white frame. I attached that to the center of the card with foam tape behind it. I used Glossy Accents over portions of the flowers and applied Unicorn Glitter over it. I then applied more Glossy Accents to the center of the flowers and again on some of the petals and used Tim Holtz Rock Candy Clear glitter over it. It is opaque so I love this stuff! Last I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment and a red bow at the bottom using the Pretty Bows Dies and Rich Red Matte Metallic Cardstock.
I blogged three tags made with the new Baby Fawn stamps and dies yesterday. You can see that blog post HERE for the details:
