Today I have a card to share using a new embossing folder from the SSS In My Heart Release. It’s called Apple Blossoms. Here is an image:

It does not include cutting dies. Here is my card:

This card is really straightforward and doesn’t require very many directions, but I always think of something to say! I embossed it using white cardstock. I colored the leaves and flowers with Copic markers and used colored pencils to add some shading in the lines. I used a gold Uniball gel pen for the centers of the flowers. For mistakes, I used a white Uniball which stands out way too much in this photo (why didn’t I notice this?!!!).

I cut it down slightly and attached it to a white card base. I stamped two sentiments using the new CZ Thanks Mom stamp and die set also from the In My Heart release. I stamped them with Versafine black ink and die-cut them out with the matching dies. I attached those to the bottom of the card. I added three sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
This should have been a really quick card, but it wasn’t. I wanted to try something different, so I originally colored the background a darkish teal color. I didn’t like it so I went over it with a light blue to lighten it up and leave it kind of splotchy. I liked it even less. Then I went with the no-fail black background. From coloring the background THREE TIMES, I got a lot of color on my flowers and thus the white ink that shows around the outside edges. I do love this Apple Blossoms Embossing Folder though and would have usually thoroughly enjoyed coloring it!!! Thanks for visiting, Suzy
