My card today was made for my 8 year old grandson who loves legos. I also love legos so when the kids want to play, that is what I pick. It’s an expensive issue for grandma though as I love getting new sets to make with them. I used a new set from SSS’s In My Heart release called the Let’s Connect stamp and die bundle as shown here:
Cute little critters and legos – you can’t get better than that. And of course I had to make a slimline card so I could fit all six critters on it!
I made the background by cutting a piece of white cardstock to be 8.25″ x 3.25″ as I wanted a white border to show on my 8.5 x 3.5″ slimline card. I rubbed Lemonade Ink on the bottom and Marine on the top using Tim Holtz foam applicators. I attached that to the card base.
I stamped all of the critters and legos using black ink on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I die-cut them all out with the matching dies. I stamped a sentiment using Versafine Ink on a Sentiment Label Die (which I cut to be shorter). I arranged all of these elements on the slimline card front. I used foam tape behind the ones in the forefront.
