It’s the time of the month for a new Simon Says Stamp release called “In My Heart”. You can see the entire release HERE. The card I’m sharing today uses a cute 4×6″ stamp set called A Mother’s Love. Here is an image of the stamp and die bundle:

I stamped the images in the stamp set including 3 of the trees with black ink. I colored them in with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them out as I didn’t have the matching dies. I wish I had cut out the white area between the mother and baby giraffe as the die does cut that out which would look better.

I made the background by applying Cabbage and Artichoke PSInk to the bottom of a slimline card front (cut it slightly smaller than the full size so it would have a white border). I applied Sunbeam and Salmon PSInk to the top. By overlapping the Cabbage and Sunbeam Ink in the center I got a nice lime green. I flicked water over the background and then some of the Coral Ink using a paintbrush. I die-cut the Love You Mom Die from white cardstock and applied Salmon Ink to the letters. I attached that to the top of the card with foam tape behind it. I then arranged all of my other images around it with some against the background, so with tape only on the top and some with foam tape under the entire thing to create depth in the scene.
I think this A Mother’s Love stamp set is SO CUTE! I lied them against this bright sunset sky background that I could imagine an African Safari having. You can see the entire In My Heart release Here. There are several bundles you can buy shown in my supply list. I’ll be back on Friday morning for day 1 of the 2 day blog hop. See you then! Suzy
