I have another butterfly card to share with you today! I had both of my butterfly dies out to use and didn’t intend to post them back to back! This one is called the Dewpierce Butterfly and is from the Always There release a couple months ago. Here is an image of this one:

I die-cut the Dewpierce Butterfly from white cardstock. I inked it with Tidepool on the outside, then Surf in the middle, and Marine on the inside. The color changes were more noticeable before I applied some perfect pearls to it. It is nice and shimmery now but the colors blended together so much you can’t tell it is more than one color!
I embossed the Dotty Circles Embossing Folder which is also from the Always There release using white cardstock. I rubbed the same three inks over it with Marine in the center, Surf outside that, and Tidepool on the outside. I die-cut a Rounded Rectangle Die from white cardstock to make a frame for a shaker card. I attached acetate to the backside of it and then two layers of foam around the edges. I used the Starbright and Perfect Day Embellishment Mixes on the inside of the shaker. I glued the butterfly to the top of the acetate and it kind of got lost – oopses. I stamped a sentiment using the Beautiful Day stamp set and black ink on a white banner.
I didn’t start with a plan for this card so things just kind of developed into this. I love the Dewpierce Butterfly but I think if I went a little darker he would have shown up better! He is definitely shimmery and pretty though! Thanks for visiting today! Suzy
