I’m back from SSS Create! It was so much fun. I love sitting my butt at a table for 2.5 days with the best women ever painting my watercolor cards. The women are so my favorite part of Create, especially my 3 favs: Joan, Joan, and Joan. Ok that was a joke as I called one of the friends I’ve made from years at my Create booth Joan and her name is Fran. So then I called everyone Joan trying to figure out who Joan was. The three are Lori who is the funniest ever at my table and Fran and Rita who help me clean up after classes each day.
Here is a picture of me with those two. I wish we lived closer and I’d be hanging out with them all the time!
Let me not procrastinate sharing my card for the day! Here it is:
I used the Retro Daisies Stencil for this card. I applied purple and blue inks over the stencil. I also stamped the sentiment using the Groovy Wishes stamp and die. The colors of Pawsitively Saturated Inks I used are in the supply list. Love this combo of colors!
I painted the right side of my image with Nuvo Shimmer Drops. I love those so much. They give you the most saturated color of any watercolors out there. I attached it to a white card base. I then attached 2/3rds of my stencil piece over the card. I added the sentiment with foam tape behind it. I decided to add some white ribbon over the seam between the two pieces. I also used some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
Hope you like this bright card! The Groovy Wishes stamp and die go so perfectly with the Retro Daisies stencil. There is also a Retro Daisies stamp but I didn’t use those.
