STAMPtember is finally here – wootwoot – the entire release is HERE! I'm super excited about all these awesome new products and my two sets of watercolor card sets that have been released. One is a birthday watercolor card set and the other is a floral watercolor card set called Foral Sentiments with all different sentiments. Here are images of both:
Today I'll be sharing the floral set all painted and made into cards. I'll share the birthday set in a few days as they are all ready to go as well! Here are all 12 with two versions of one of them so 13 in total. I have some tips and techniques I used to color these at the bottom of the post. At the top of this post is the exclusive gift offering (this one is only on my blog) – make sure to go to the SSS Blog to see all of the participants in today's party as each person has a different gift offering on their blog.

Tips/Techniques:
- These card fronts are printed on Ranger Watercolor Paper so they are intended for watercolor, but any color medium can be used – the paper works great with Copics, watercolors, colored pencils, etc…
- Try using more than one coloring medium on each card; I start each with watercolor, but then I add shading and details with glitter pens or colored pencils.
- I add Tonic Nuvo Drops all over my images – I use them over the colored letters, in floral center, over flower petals (such as the white dots on the Gerber Daisy card, etc…
- Use a wet on wet technique for backgrounds blending several colors like greens and the colors in the flowers so it looks like a fuzzy background in a photo
- Use an N2 Copic marker to add shadows behind the letters on the cards and some of the images to make them pop
- Sometimes after I paint and color the images with colored pencils, the black lines fade a lot so I redraw them with a fine tip black marker (especially the letters) to make them more prominent
- I use a white colored pencil and a white Uniball marker over the edge of leaves to add lighter areas
- Tonic nuvo drops also add a nice finishing touch to the backgrounds instead of sequins
Here are some of my other favorite products in the release. I am working on a "one stamp, five ways" post with both of these sets – Birthday Numbers and Beautiful Flowers 2:
I also LOVE these two background stamps – I'm so into these cling background stamps lately as they are super fun to color with colored pencils. I have a card on my last "one stamp, five ways" blog post using the Plank Background Stamp one with an image of the card below (directions for this one are on THIS POST). I also love the Nature Mandala one as it is so detailed – I'm working on coloring it in with colored pencils after stamping it with natural colored ink).
Hey, guess what?!?!?! I'M DONE! With 100 blogs to visit, I bet that is a relief! Don't forget to post all of your products in the Stamptember gallery on the SSS Blog HERE. I'll have my other set of watercolor cards posted in a few days. If you want to know when the blog post goes live, click on the email me when I post button on the top left of my blog – and don't worry, I don't post that often haha. Thanks for visiting and have a great STAMPtember everyone! Suzy
